Juli Leonard for 'The News & Observer,' 2016

Elizabeth Chabot

A self-taught weaver and fiber artist, I make hand-woven textiles, wall hangings, and art pieces focusing on an intermixture of textures and the incorporation of found and repurposed materials.

Born and raised in Virginia, I now live and work in Durham, North Carolina and Boston, Massachusetts. I love reading, cooking, and a good cup of coffee. My favorite material to work with is wool roving, much to the delight of my cat.
